Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 12, 2026  |  Last updated: July 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how VResearchLab LLC, a Delaware limited liability company registered to do business in Florida (“Forbiz,” “we,” “us”), collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the website at forbiz.ai and our data and subscription services (the “Service”). It also describes rights available to residents of certain U.S. states, including California.

Two very different kinds of data. This policy distinguishes between (1) information about our website visitors and subscribers (for example, your name, email, and payment details), which we collect and protect like any online business, and (2) the public business-records data we compile and offer through the Service, which originates from government sources such as Sunbiz. These are treated differently under the law and under this policy. See Sections 2 and 6.

2. The Public-Records Data in Our Service

The core of our Service is business-entity information that is already publicly available from the Florida Division of Corporations (Sunbiz) and other government sources, including through official public-records and bulk-data channels. This may include the names and business addresses of registered agents, officers, and directors of registered entities, because those details are part of the public filings.

We did not collect this information from those individuals directly; it comes from government records that are open to the public. We compile, organize, and format it and make it accessible to subscribers. If you are an individual named in a public business filing and have a request concerning that information, see Section 8; note, however, that we generally cannot alter what the government publishes at the official source.

3. How We Use Information

  • To provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service and process your subscription and payments.
  • To create and manage your account and provide customer support.
  • To communicate with you about your account, transactions, updates, and, where permitted, marketing (you can opt out).
  • To monitor usage, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms.
  • To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

4. How We Share Information

  • Service providers that support hosting, payment processing (Stripe), analytics, email, and security, under contract and only as needed.
  • Subscribers receive access to the public-records data as the product of the Service (this is the data described in Section 2, not the personal account information of other subscribers).
  • Legal and safety: to comply with law, enforce agreements, or protect rights, safety, and property.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell the personal account information of our website visitors or subscribers for money.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies as part of operating, securing, and improving the Service. These are integral to how the Service runs and include tools provided by the following processors:

  • PostHog — product analytics, to understand how the Service is used (page views and feature usage).
  • Sentry — error monitoring and performance/security diagnostics.
  • Stripe — payment processing and fraud prevention at checkout.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though disabling some may affect how the Service functions. You may also opt out of PostHog analytics as described in the PostHog Privacy Policy.

Do-Not-Track and Global Privacy Control (GPC). Because there is not yet a uniform industry standard, the Service does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” or GPC browser signals. California and other state residents can still exercise their opt-out and other rights through our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page or as described in Section 8.

6. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, gives you certain rights. This Section describes how they apply.

6.1 Personal information of visitors and subscribers

For the categories in Section 1, you have the right to (a) know and access the personal information we hold about you, (b) request deletion, (c) request correction, and (d) opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” and limit use of sensitive personal information, subject to legal exceptions. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

6.2 Government-records data

Under the CCPA, information that is “publicly available,” including information lawfully obtained from federal, state, or local government records, is excluded from the definition of “personal information.” Much of the business-records data in our Service falls within this exclusion because it comes from public government filings. Where that is the case, CCPA access, deletion, and correction rights may not apply to that data. We nonetheless describe an intake process for related requests in Section 8, and we will honor rights that do apply under applicable law.

6.3 “Sale” or “sharing” and your opt-out

Because our business involves providing data to subscribers for a fee, some activities could be characterized as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under state law. To exercise any available right to opt out, use our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page, or submit a request as described in Section 8.

6.4 Data-broker status

Depending on the nature and volume of the data we make available, we may be considered a “data broker” under the laws of California and certain other states, which can carry registration and consumer-request obligations. We evaluate these obligations on an ongoing basis and will register and comply where and when applicable law requires, and we honor deletion and opt-out mechanisms that apply to us.

7. Other State Privacy Rights

Residents of other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out. To exercise them, contact us as described below. The government-records treatment in Section 6.2 may similarly limit which rights apply to public-records data.

8. How to Exercise Your Rights

Submit a request through our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page or by emailing support@forbiz.ai. We will verify your identity before responding and will respond within the time required by law. You may use an authorized agent where permitted. If your request concerns information published at the government source, we will explain what we can and cannot do and, where appropriate, direct you to the originating agency.

9. Data Retention and Security

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information; however, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10. Children

The Service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

11. International Users

The Service is operated in the United States and intended for U.S. users. If you access it from outside the U.S., you consent to processing in the U.S.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date and, where required, provide additional notice.
